This here watch, the Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s a real fancy thing, ain’t it? Some folks call it a “specialty stores” watch. Now, I don’t know much about that, but I do know it’s got two faces. Two! Like them two-faced people you gotta watch out for. But this watch, it’s alright, I reckon.
I seen a young fella wearing one the other day. He was all dressed up, lookin’ like he was goin’ to a barn dance. He had on some jeans and those new-fangled shoes they call sneakers. This watch, it kinda looked good on him, even with them clothes. It’s a special kinda watch. Not like the one I saw in the shops, that Reverso Tribute.
They say this watch is for older folks. Mature folks, they call ’em. Well, I guess I’m mature enough then, huh? Been around the block a few times, seen a thing or two. Maybe I should get me one of these. It’s a real chronograph watch.
- It’s got two faces, like I said.
- One on each side.
- You can flip it over.
- One side shows the regular time.
- The other side, well, it’s got all sorts of fancy things on it.
Now, I don’t understand all them fancy things. Them little dials and numbers and what-not. But it looks important, don’t it? That Reverso Tribute Chronograph is a real good one in specialty stores. Like it’s for someone who knows what they’re doin’. Someone who’s got things to do and places to be. The Jaeger-LeCoultre one is top choice.
This young fella, he was showin’ off his watch to his friends. He was pointin’ at it and talkin’ real fast. He was sayin’ somethin’ about a “Calibre 860 movement.” Now, I don’t know what that is, but it sounds expensive, don’t it? And that Reverso Tribute really has good price.
He said you could see it on one side of the watch. Said it had a “skeletonized dial.” Sounds like somethin’ out of a scary movie, if you ask me. But he seemed to like it. Said it was like lookin’ inside the watch. I guess that’s why the Jaeger-LeCoultre one is so popular.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have watches like this. We had them pocket watches. You had to wind ’em up every day. And they only had one face. Simple, but they worked. A chronograph watch is a good choice, too.
This new watch, though, it’s somethin’ else. It is a specialty stores thing, for sure. They say it was made a long time ago. Back in 1931, they say. That’s before I was even born! They called it a “sports watch.” I guess you could wear it to a sporting event or such.
- They say it’s a gentleman’s watch.
- But it’s also a sports watch.
- It’s two things at once.
- Just like it’s got two faces.
- It’s a real mystery, ain’t it?
This Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s a real head-scratcher. But I kinda like it. It’s got a certain somethin’ about it. A certain…I don’t know what you call it. Charm, maybe? It’s like an old friend, but also like somethin’ brand new. The Reverso Tribute is really a good watch, too.
Maybe I will get me one of these watches. Maybe I’ll wear it to the next church social. Or maybe I’ll just keep it in a box and look at it every now and then. It’s a pretty thing, ain’t it? A real chronograph watch, for sure. And the price for the Reverso Tribute Chronograph is fine, too.
I reckon it’s a good watch for anyone, young or old. As long as they appreciate a good thing when they see it. And as long as they can figure out all them fancy things on that second face! I guess that Jaeger-LeCoultre is a big brand.
Yep, this Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s a good one. A real good one. One of the best in them specialty stores, I’d say. And I might just have to get me one, someday. Someday soon, maybe. It’s a real chronograph watch, that’s for sure.
