Remake YSL ENVELOPE BAG: Where to Buy and How Much Does It Cost?

Alright, folks, gather ’round, let me tell you about my little project here. I decided, for some reason, that I was gonna try and get my hands on one of those fancy Yves Saint Laurent Envelope bags. You know, the ones that look like, well, an envelope? Yeah, those. Heard they were all the rage, so I figured, why not? I have decided to purchase one of them.

First thing’s first, I started looking around. I looked into the Internet, where can I get those bags? I have heard that there are RealReal and the other stores online, so I went there and had a look.

And boy, are they expensive! I’m talking more than my monthly salary kind of expensive. I saw prices ranging from a measly $675 for something called a “clutch” (which I guess is just a tiny bag) all the way up to a whopping $7,100! Can you believe that? For a bag! Apparently, the one that costs over seven grand is made from ostrich leather. Fancy, huh?

  • Saint Laurent – Mimosa Yellow …$1,900.00
  • Saint Laurent – Black Raffia Round …$1,700.00
  • Saint Laurent – Black Suede Leather …$850.00
  • Saint Laurent – Black Calfskin Medium …$1,650.00
  • Saint Laurent – Black Quilted Lambskin …$1,850.00
  • Saint Laurent – Black Chevron Quilt …$1,750.00
  • Saint Laurent – Taupe Smooth Calfskin …$1,900.00
  • Saint Laurent – Dark Beige Chevron …$1

I browsed through a bunch of ’em online. There’s this one called “RealReal” where they sell them used, so they’re a bit cheaper. I saw some for around $850, $1,650, $1,850, and even $1,900. Still a hefty price tag, but hey, it’s a YSL, right? I saw Black Suede Leather, Black Calfskin Medium, and Black Quilted Lambskin bags. So many choices!

Now, I ain’t made of money, so I had to be smart about this. I did some digging, and apparently, these bags hold their value pretty well. Some folks even call them “collectible.” So, maybe it’s not just a bag, it’s an investment? That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway.

After a lot of hemming and hawing, I finally decided to go for it. I picked out a preowned one, which means someone else owned it before me, which is good, I don’t want to buy a new one. But I figured it’s still a Saint Laurent, and it’s gonna be in decent shape. Paid a good chunk of change for it, not gonna lie. But I convinced myself it was worth it.

Waiting for the Delivery

Now comes the hard part – waiting. I ordered it online, and now I’m just counting down the days until it arrives. I’m picturing myself, using that fancy bag, feeling all sophisticated and whatnot. I will put my wallet, my keys, and maybe a lipstick in it, very fancy.

I’ll let y’all know how it goes when the bag finally gets here. Wish me luck! Maybe this whole YSL thing isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Or maybe it is. We’ll see! Stay tuned, friends.
