So, I saw this fancy bag, the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG, right? It’s a classic, they say. I thought, “Hey, I can make that!” So I did. Here’s how it went down.
First, I looked at a bunch of pictures of the bag. I mean, a lot. I wanted to get every little detail right. Then, I sketched it out on paper, just to get a feel for the shape and size. It’s not too big, not too small, just a neat little boxy thing.
Next, I needed the stuff to make it. I picked out some leather that looked kinda like the real thing, you know, not too shiny, not too dull. I also got some thread, a zipper, and a few other bits and bobs. Oh, and the YSL logo, I found a metal piece that looked pretty close.
Then came the fun part – putting it all together. I cut the leather according to my sketch, making sure to leave some extra for seams and such. I sewed the pieces together, slow and steady. It wasn’t easy, especially around the corners, but I managed.
- Cut the leather.
- Sew the pieces.
- Attach the zipper and logo.
- And do some other stuff.
I added the zipper, which was a bit tricky, but I got it in there. Then, I attached the YSL logo thingy. It’s not the real deal, of course, but it looks the part.
After hours of work, lots of thread, and maybe a few accidental needle pricks, I finally finished my YSL June Box Bag remake! It’s not an exact replica, but it’s pretty darn close. I’m no expert, but I think it turned out okay.
The Final Result
I carried it around for a day, just to see how it felt. It’s comfy to carry, fits all my stuff, and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. It’s like the real YSL June Box Bag, but not quite. It’s got the look, the style, without the crazy price tag.
So, yeah, that’s my story of making a YSL June Box Bag remake. It was a fun project, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. If you like this kind of stuff, maybe give it a try. It’s a good way to get the look of those fancy bags without spending a fortune.
