Alright, so I saw this fancy Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG online. It’s a real looker, you know? And I thought, “Why not try to remake it?” Sounds like a fun little project, right?
First off, I started looking around for pictures, descriptions, anything I could find about this bag. It’s called the JUNE BOX BAG, and it’s got this shiny YSL logo on the front. Looks like it’s made of some kind of soft, quilted leather. Real classy, just like those luxury brands do it. I figured lambskin might be the way to go, because that’s what I read that they use.
Then, I got to work gathering my materials. I found some nice black lambskin that looked pretty similar to what they use for the real deal. I also managed to find a gold-colored YSL logo that was a good size and shape. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. I had to hunt around quite a bit.
- Black lambskin – check.
- Gold-colored YSL logo – check.
- Some kind of strap – check.
- Lining material – check.
- Thread, needles, all that jazz – check.
Next, I started cutting the lambskin. Now, I’m no expert, but I figured a boxy shape would be the way to go. I cut out six pieces, all roughly the same size, and then I started sewing them together. This took some time, and I had to be careful not to mess up. I made a few mistakes along the way, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it? Figuring things out as you go.
After I got the main body of the bag sewn together, I added the lining. It’s a nice, soft material that will keep everything inside safe and sound. Then I attached the strap. It’s a simple, adjustable one, so you can wear the bag over your shoulder or across your body. I thought about making it detachable, but decided against it, because I wanted to keep things simple.
Adding the Finishing Touches
Finally, I attached the YSL logo to the front of the bag. This was the trickiest part, because I had to make sure it was centered and straight. I used some strong glue to hold it in place, and then I let it dry overnight. It’s not perfect, but I wanted it centered there, and I did it!
And there you have it! My very own remake of the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It was a fun little project, and I learned a lot along the way. Maybe I’ll try to remake another bag sometime, who knows?
